Maintenance and Servicing Measures for PSA Nitrogen Generators

　　It is important to note that improper operation and maintenance of the carbon molecular sieve in a nitrogen generator can lead to poisoning. For example, if the air purification system is not equipped with appropriate treatment equipment at the initial stage, or if the installed equipment is operating under faulty conditions, oil and water impurities in the feed air can enter the adsorption tower directly and be adsorbed by the carbon molecular sieve, resulting in poisoning. This severely compromises the desorption capacity, leading to a substantial reduction in both nitrogen production rate and nitrogen purity. Furthermore, once the carbon molecular sieve has reached a certain service life, its nitrogen purity will decline markedly, making it unable to meet the required performance standards.

　　It is important to verify that each timed drain operates properly and that the air pressure meets or exceeds 0.6 MPa. Compare the inlet and outlet temperatures of the refrigerant dryer to determine whether cooling performance is adequate. Also, check that the nitrogen purity remains stable. The activated carbon filter effectively removes oil contaminants, thereby extending the service life of the high-quality carbon molecular sieve; the activated carbon should be replaced every 3,000 operating hours or every four months.
