After compression, dust and oil removal, air is separated into oxygen by molecular sieve nitrogen adsorption (PSA) or cryogenic liquefaction distillation. Oxygen purity is adjusted according to application: >90% for rescue and 70–85% for combustion. Oxygen is delivered via explosion-proof pipelines or mobile equipment to underground refuge chambers, rescue passages or combustion devices.
